Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 fresh jalapeños seeded for mild, leave seeds for spicy
  • 1 large bunch of fresh cilantro roughly 1 packed cup
  • 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix about 1 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

Method

Make the Jalapeño-Cilantro Paste
  1. Wash and dry the jalapeños and cilantro.
  2. Slice off the stems from the jalapeños.
  3. Remove seeds if you prefer a milder dip, or leave them for more heat.
  4. Add jalapeños and cilantro to a food processor or high-speed blender.
  5. Pulse until the mixture turns into a bright green paste. Scrape down the sides as needed.
Mix the Dip
    In a large bowl, combine:
    1. 1 cup sour cream
    2. 1 cup mayonnaise
    3. 1 packet ranch dressing mix
    4. Add in the cilantro-jalapeño paste.
    5. Stir well until everything is fully combined and smooth.
    6. Taste and adjust heat or salt if desired.
    Chill and Serve
    1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
    2. This gives the flavors time to blend and mellow.
    3. Serve cold with chips, veggies, or your favorite grilled meats.
