Method
Brown the Rice
- In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic (and onion, if using), then add rice. Stir and toast until rice turns golden—this enhances flavor and texture.
Add the Broth & Seasonings
- Pour in very hot water, then sprinkle in Knorr tomato and chicken seasoning, plus granulated garlic. Stir gently to combine.
Simmer to Perfection
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Add cilantro sprigs on top. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook undisturbed for 25 minutes—no stirring or lifting the lid.
Fluff & Serve
- Once cooked, remove from heat and discard cilantro sprigs. Fluff the rice gently with a fork. Serve warm alongside your favorite BBQ fare.
