Step By Step Instructions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Black Pepper
- 1 pound of sliced beef liver
- Olive oil
- 1 sliced white onion
Step 1: Grind vegetables
Grind the cloves of garlic with the pepper in a molcajete. Add a bit of water to make a paste.
Step 2: Extend paste
Extend this paste on the liver beef steaks.
Step 3: Fry vegetables
Heat a frypan, add the onions and cook for 2 minutes. Remove the onion from the frypan.
Step 4: Cook the liver
Cook the liver steaks in the same frypan, 4 minutes on one side and additional 4 minutes the other side of the steaks. How long does it take to cook liver? All in all, it takes only 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 5: Fry everything
Add the onions and fry until the onions are golden.
Step 6: Serve
It´s important that you serve the liver as soon as it is cooked. Keep in mind that once it is cooked, the liver soon becomes hard and loses its characteristic taste. This is true even you leave it on the frying pan. For this reason, make sure to serve it all at once and don´t cook more than needed. If somebody is still hungry, just cook another piece of liver.
